Women Human Rights Defenders International Coalition

This report provides a contextual analysis of Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs) work and the violence they face because of it. This report aims to systematically collate individual and collective analysis of WHRDs experiences in order to address the gap in documentation of gender-based violence against WHRDs. The report focuses on five key phenomena: fundamentalism, militarization and situations of conflict, globalization, crises of governance, and heteronormativity.
