Paul Chartrand is a Métis and a former professor at the University of Saskatchewan specializing in Aboriginal law and policy issues. He is a graduate of Manitoba Teachers College, the University of Winnipeg, Queensland University of Technology and the University of Saskatchewan. He served on the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples and has authored numerous publications. He currently works as a private consultant in Victoria, British Columbia.
