Paul Salembier, LL.M., is a former General Counsel with the federal Department of Justice, in which capacity he provided advice on legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting First Nations. Mr. Salembier has more than two decades of experience in aboriginal law, and has drafted many regulations and statutes relating to First Nations. He currently teaches legislative drafting at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law. Al Broughton, LL.B., is a former General Counsel with the federal Department of Justice, at Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada Legal Services. He has been involved in the interpretation and application of legislation affecting First Nations and reserve lands for more than 25 years. Jeffery Hutchinson, LL.B., is an Executive Director at the Treasury Board Secretariat. He has more than 15 years experience in Aboriginal legal issues and has recently served as the Executive Directgor of the Indian Residential Schools Adjudication Secretariat. Andrew Beynon, LL.B. has worked on First Nation lands and economic development for almost thirty years within and outside government. He was Canada's lead lawyer on the Nisga'a Treaty and currently works for the First Nations Lands Advisory Board Resource Centre. Karl Jacques, LLB., is a Senior Counsel with the federal Department of Justice and provides advice on legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting First Nations. Mr. Jacques has more than two decades of experience as a legislative drafter and a decade of experience in aboriginal law.
