Noting that "violence against women is a human rights scandal", Amnesty International USA's Stop Violence Against Women Campaign seeks to raise awareness, end the violence and affirm the basic human rights of women and girls around the world. The campaign seeks to illustrate that women's right to be free from violence is fundamental to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This website provides access to information about the campaign and its priority areas, resources to assist activists, fact sheets and reports. [Descriptors: Violence Against Women - International]
