This section of the Canadian government's Human Rights Program website contains information on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and Canada's relationship to it. Along with background information on CEDAW and its Optional Protocol, the site also contains Canada's Fourth and Fifth Reports, submitted to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in 1995 and 2002 respectively, and the review of these reports undertaken by the CEDAW Committee in 1997 and 2003.
