This article explores the strides that have
been made in the field of women's rights over
the last few decades. Strengthening of the
status of women on an international level has
resulted in the gradual establishment of
platforms for women to express their ideas and
concerns. The widespread recognition of women's
human rights has also resulted in the creation
of mechanisms to address gender discrimination
and violence. The article reviews various
conferences and conventions that have
strengthened the status of women over the last
50 years.
