Annotation:
This booklet surveys the ways in which the Women's Convention has been used in
national courts and by women's rights advocates to enforce the human rights of
women. It's main objective, however, is not to document the past but to promote an
increased use of the Women's Convention in domestic advocacy. To that end, this
booklet outlines the various ways in which the Convention can have an impact on
national laws and policies, the procedures for filing a report with the Committee that
oversees the Convention, as well as a list of contacts and bibliographic references.
