This briefing paper aims to assist advocates advance women migrants' rights, with a special focus on women migrants in the domestic work sector. The paper discusses human rights violations and abuses suffered by migrant women workers and looks at potential remedies via international law. The International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and their Families; the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the International Covenant on Social, Economic and Cultural Rights; the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination are analyzed to determine how they can be improve women migrants' rights.
