INTERIGHTS, the International Centre for the Legal Protection of Human Rights, was established in 1982. Its mandate is to provide leadership in the development of legal protection of human rights and freedoms through the effective use of international and comparative human rights law. The organization helps judges, lawyers, practitioners, non-governmental organizations and victims with the practical application of international and comparative human rights law in national, regional and international courts and tribunals. The site contains searchable Commonwealth and International Human Rights Case Law Databases which provide summaries of significant cases from international and regional courts and the domestic courts of Commonwealth countries. The site also provides access to papers written, edited or supported by the organization's staff.
