Rapporteurship on the Rights of Women

The rapporteurship on the rights of women was established by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) in 1994. The objective was to pursue equality between men and women and to ensure that the rights of women are fully respected in all member states of the Organization of American States (OAS). This section of the IACHR site contains thematic reports/studies and reports of petitions/ cases pending before the Commission, along with country-specific reports.
